Truth on Life Support

When all around are shiny polished lies

When truth gets lost and buried and distracted

In well-spun pieces on how we’re impacted

By phantom fears, bait to entice our eyes

Remember Valla, truth as flags unfurled

Who thrust against strong myths philology,

And won, because there’s strength in verity.

Remember Orwell really changed the world.

Expose what fakes you can, drag to the light

The shreds and shards you know for sure, be strong.

Be charitable when your friends click wrong,

Examine everything, hold fast what’s right.

When truth’s a casualty what we can do

Is be her life support, by being true.
